LATE LOCALS
The monthly meeting of the Waipukurau District High School Committee is to be held to-night. The Waipawa Hospital Board is to hold its next monthly meeting in the I’ower Board’s Office. Waipukurau. on Wednesday morning. It is pleasing to record that Mr Paul Hunter continues to make satisfactory progress towards recovery from the effects of his recent serious operation. A-recently ordained Maori theological student from St. John’s College, Auckland, has been appointed to act temporarily, for training purposes, as assistant to the Rev. Canon E. D. Rice, in St. Mary’s parish. At a meeting of the parishioners of St. Mary’s Church to be held on "Wednesday evening two specially interest-ing-subjects will bo discussed, viz., the fixing of a site for the proposed new Church, and consideration of adoption of the Duplex Envelope system of .finance.
