DISTRICT DIGESTS
The next meeting of the Patangata County Council will be held in the County office, Waipukurau, to-morrow.
The fact was commented upon at the County Council meeting on Saturday that there had not boon any local prosecutions for motor speeding or elimination of the offence, consequent upon the appointment of a provincial traffic inspector.
It was remarked by the Clerk (JUr J. W. Elliott), at the County Council meeting on Saturday, that the rates had not been coming in as freely as the needs of the Council made desirable. They wore approaching very closely to the overdraft limit, and of course paying 61 per cent for the accommodation required in the interim of ratepavers concc r n e 11 p a yin g - up.
