EASTER COMPETITION.

SUCCESSFUL PAIRS TOURNAMENT During the Easter recess, the Waipukurau Bowling Club held a Pairs Tournament. The entries, though of a local character, were extremely good, and favoured by excellent weather, the tournament proved a great success. The winners turned up in Messrs R. W. Carpenter and G. L. Chatwin, who played with great consistency throughout the two days. Messrs W. Lourie and W. Johnstone also played very well, winning live games. The results •were as follows: —• FIRST ROUND.
