»w xonfc ZJMK. LEGISLATION ANTICIPATED. An application was made by Mr. E, H. .Manning, through Mr. D. B. Kent, at the annual meeting of the Waipjiwa. Mr. Kent pointed out that while a. license could not at present be lawfully granted legislation Fad been forecasted which would involve a re-distribution of lieensob fw the Waipawn district, and that lit the event &f It being found that there were too many licenses in any other part of the district the proposed legislation may enable the conxmittoo to allocate an additional license to Waipuknrau. Counsel further pointed nut. that the object of putting the application before tho committee now was that if t'be legislation was passed the present applicant would have a prior right. Provisional plans and specifications of additions to the present building were snbmittod and Mr. Kent asked that the commit-tee record tho fact that the applicat-io was lodged and that plans had been submitted.
