Mr C. Pattison of the Patangata County Council has been elected a mem bcr of the Hospital Boaid vice Mr L. 11. McHardy resigned. Members of the local Red Cross Bocicty met in the Social Hall of the Public Library last week to show their appreciation of the services of the secretary, (Mrs Broad), In presenting Mrs Broad with, a gold wristlet watch, Mrs Ormond (president) eulogised the good work rendered by Mrs Broad during the war; and at present at the Pukcora Sanatorium. Mrs Broad suit ably responded. Afternoon tea was then handed round by the committee. At the Inter Collegial!- Rugby match on Saturday last between the Wellington College an.l St. Patrick ’s, Roy Stacc of Maipukurau, had the misfortune to have ins icit shoulder fractured. The match resulted in Wellington College I.', St. Patrick’s 3.
