MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE.

Yesterday morning Philip Catuerou, a farmer residing at 194 Hutt road, Petoue, reported to the police that three members of his family were missing, having mysteriously disappeared between Friday morning and Saturday uight. The missing people are Mrs Norah Cameron, Queeuie Cameron 19, Donald Cameron It. According to Cameron, who owns a farm at Horokiwi, lie left home at five to four on Friday morning to work on his property. He did not see the missing people before he left, but as be occupies a separate room this was not unusual. He returned at 7 p.m. when his wife and two children were absent. Thinking they were at" some pictures he letired to bed, aud left the house again early on Saturday morniug returning in the evening. As there was no sign of the family tlien he reported the matter to the police. The peculiar feature is thai according to the clothing left the missiug people must have left only partially clad. Two other inmates of the "house, little girls named Duudas, say that at (3 o'clock on Fiiday morning they saw the three missing persons running partially dressed on the road to Petoue. All were barefooted and very scantily clad. The disappearance is causing excitement in Petoue, aud developments are eagerly awaited.
