The case of the man Biggs who shot himself at Rotorua on Christmas Day, | to which reference was recently made, j promises to one of note from a medied point of view (says tho Rotorua Times). The unfortunate man as he recovers can do nearly everything that some of the doctors thought he would be unab'e to do. He can recollect, ballance himself, and walk; and these are scientifically the operations supposed to have been controlled by that portion of the brain shot away. He is recovering steadily, and the case promises to be one of the most remarkable in the annals of medical science. “ Carrotty Anna!” was the peremptory call made by the orderly in the Magistrate’s Court at Masterton, when a certain witness was required. The amazed and amused crowd in the Court expected to see a fiery haired female respond to the call, but it transpired that the party wanted to give evidence was a member of a well-known local Maori family named Karaitiana. Mr A. Bailey, Picton, N.Z., says:—“ I have used Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy a number of of times and have never known it fail to effect a cure. My late father always kept a bottle of Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy in his house, and I have often heard him recommend it to his friends.” For sale everywhere.
