At tbe wool sales the following clips realised the prices stated : Tumumu and Blackhead 18£d ; Otekaike aud Merivale 14£d.

Messrs Wenley and Lanauze report:—

At to-day’s sale of wool, sheepskins, etc., large catalogues were offered to a full attendance of buyers, including South Island representatives. Competition was keen at improved rates as the following quotations will show: — Wool.—Medium crossbredlOd to lid, coarse crossbred (faulty) 9£d to 10£d, stragglers and inferior fleece 83d to 9gd, locks to s£d. Good bright well picked crutcbings sold up to 9<J, which is a record price, fau Ity crutcbings 7£d to 83d, second crutcbings 7d to Bd, seedy and inferior 6d 10 7d.

Sheepskins.— Well-saved crossbreds, coarse and medium, 9d to inferior and short 7d to Bd, hoggets 7sd to B£d, pelts to 2a 6d each. Hides were weaker. Fair ox 6£d, cow s*d,
