Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report as follows : At Palmerston, on Thursday, the entry of both sheep and cattle was smaller than usual. A good demand existed for ail classes of sheep, and with the exception of one pen every lino was su’d. Cattle met a draegiug sale, with the exception of one line of 70 well bred IS months' steers, sold on account of Messrs McHardy Bros., for which there was good competition, and they fell to the bid of a Wairarapa buyer at £3 2s. At both clearing sales wo had a la ;e altandance, and all lines X’ealiaed good prices. Quotations : —Good wethers 17s lid, good lambs 9s 7d to 10s Gel, store ewes 7s to 9s Id, cull lambs Gs to Os 1 Id, cull ewes ss. Well bred 18mcs steers £3 2e, good weaners 10s to 15s, small weaners 5s to Bs, yearlings 235, IStnos steers (bad colours) 2(;s to 295, fat cows £3, 18mos heifers 265, dmos Berkshire sows, on account of Messrs Slack Bros, £2 2s to £3 3s.
