Woodville Central A. and P. Association.

A meeting of the general committee of the above was held in the Jockey Club room on Monday evening. Present—Messrs 8. Bolton (vice-president, in the chair), and Cunningham, Escott, Murray, MoOaffery, Nicholson, A. Peebles, Staoe and Whitehead.

Correspondence was received from : J, Falloon, apologising for inability to attend owing to bad state of Ballance-Gorge road. —Accepted. Labour Department, asking Association to nominate a representative for the Agricultural Implements Board.—Received. Pahiatua Technical School Committee, asking committee to receive a deputation on the matter of establishing a Technical School in Pahiatua.—Referred tithe annual meeting.

Mr P. Hunter, returning judge’s cheque, and Mr E. H. Perry, thanking secretary and stewards for attention at show, and returning greater part of his cheque. Committee heartily thanked them for same. Poultry stewards wrote, certifying that special prize for Leghorns had been awarded to Mr McCaffery, but had been entered up to another competitor in error.—The secretary reported that he had handed it Mr McCaffery, and his action was confirmed.

The Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Association wrote, asking for the date of this Association’s next show, in order that it might be printed in their schedules, —The* sub-committee appointed lo consider this question icpnrted that it would be advisable to fix the Show for the Wednesday befor the last in January.—lt was moved by the chairman, seconded by Mr Escott, and carried, “ That tint be adopted subject to the Feilding Association adhering to the first Wednesday in February.”

Mr Franklin wrote that he hsd remained with the produce exhibits as long as possible, and was very sorry that any should have disappeared.— Messrs Fraser and Glenny to he paid their claims as soon as possible. Mr MoOullogh wrote claiming £2 Is 2d as expenses of bringing his horse Bonnie Scotland to the Show, and being unable to get him judged. —Tbe secretary reported that this hud been through the horse being late in being got off the train. Mr Stace, steward for thoioughbreds, stated that the hurse had been judged for the championship and beaten.— Mr McCullough to be notified accordingly ; entry fee to be refunded. Mr Mathieson claimed £5 voted by the Association towards cost o£ the Ballance read a couple of yeais ago. It was stated that Mr Mathieson had paid this sum to the Pabiatua County Council, but members stated that Mr Mathieson had offered to pay £5 himself, and they thought the Association’s £5 ought to be additional to Mr Mathieson’s, not merely to recoup him.- The chairman to inquire into the matter. The secretary reported that the unpaid accounts amounted to about £I3G, and outstanding subscriptions, etc., to considerably more.—Members of committee to try and get latter in.

Several resignations were received, amongst others that o£ Mr W. H. Boil. It was resolved to express special regret at Mr Roll's resignation.

It was resolved that the annual meeting be held on Thursday, 81st May.
