Tennis Match.

WOODVILLE V. PAHIATUA

Though the weather was not exactly pleasant for tennis on Saturday, a most eujoyable time was spent on the local courts when Pahiatua and Woodville tried conclusions, the former proving victorious in all but one game. Woodville were not in form at all, and though there were some exciting finishes, the Pahiatua players gave a far better exhibition of the game than Woodville. The surprises of the game were Swamson beating Cato and the redoubtable Bowden going down before Osbnrne Lilley. In the double between thesi j gentlemen, Cato and Bowden rather easily defeated their opponents. Mis 3 Manisty playod a da?bing game against Mrs Broughton, being only beaten by three.
