Tuesday. In the House, several new bills were introduced and read a first time.
The debate on the address-in-reply was continued by Messrs Parata, Kirkbride Witty, Hardman, Allen, Laurenson, Lewis and Davey. In the course of his speech Mr Allen made a strong charge against Ministers of interfering with the judiciary of the colony, and urged the Government to do something to remove the present anomalies in connection with licensing matters.
