Congo Free State.
Beussels, July 8. Replying to an interpellation in the Chamber of Representatives regarding the attitude of the Powers in respect to the pongo Free State, the Minister of Foreign Affairs _de.preoated Britain’s disparagement of the admirable work that had been done in the cause of civilisation. The soil, he said, had been saturated with Belgian sweat and blood.
