On Friday evening the above corps held the usual inspection parade, when 80 were present under Lieut. Horne. Sergt.-Major Finn was in attendance, and instructed the non-com-missioned officers in their work, and informed them that be would examine them at an early date. From the Minister for Public Health re bubonic plagne.—Resolved that the inspector be asked to make an inspection. From the Masterton County Council re proposed alteration in County boundary.—Clerk to reply. From D. T. Wootea re deviation on Tikaramanga road.—The Chairman and Cr Carolan were deputed to see Mr Wootea and peg out deviation. From the Eketahuna County Council re expenditure at Masterton Hospital.—Received. Prom R. B. Robertson, junr., re polling booth at Waikerern school. —Resolved to have a booth at Waikereru if required. A deputation consisting of Messrs Lang, Rowntree and Tucker waited upon the Council in reference to a demonstration on Coronation Day and asking for a grant. —Resolved that the Council grant a donation of £lO and ask the Government for a subsidy of £ for £ on same. A deputation consisting of Messrs Smith and Tncker waited upon the Council in reference to a donation towards improving the recreation reserve. —Resolved that the Clerk make enquiries in reference to a donation. Resolved that the Clerk write to the Commissioner of Crown Lands to have the pound reserve rested in the Council, Resolved to apply for grants in aid of Limestone road £3OO, Waiatiaki road, and Aohanga Valley road £290. Accounts amounting to £6B 8s 8d were passed for payment.
