Calcutta, November 1(3. Sir William Lockhart, the British Comraander-iii-Chief, is paying the submitting tribes for supplying forr age to the British. The Malidin Ehela are selling grain to the British forces. Theif spokesman declares if’ to be the general desire of the tribesmen to accept the terms of peace. He is af'rajd, however, that they will not give up their serviceable rifles. The Afridis connected with the Coyernuient have always been opposed to fighting, but the young bloods of the tribes were eager for The Madda Khels have submitted unconditionally.
