PALMERSTON MARKETS.
Matthew Henry reports on his Palmerston sale :—A good muster of cattle came forward. Sheep were very limited in number. The attendance of the public was up to" its usual proportions, but few on business bent, and consequently little business done either at auction or privately. Quotations are as follow :—Cattle—Fat cows, medium weights, £3 lGs to M ss; store cows, £2 3s £3 5s ; weaners, 27s ; dairy cows, £5 to £<j '2,s 61. Sheep-Store ewe?, 3s 9d. Pigs—Porkers, 9s to 12s.
