McLeod, a shepherd employed dy Boyd Bros., of Taieri, was killed through a buggy accident at Lovell’s Flat. Miss May Smith, headmistress Of Middle School, Invercargill, drowned herself in a pool. No cause is assigned. She was highly esteemed. W. Morton had his leg broken in a football match at Otakeho. Oscar Wilde aid Taylor have been found guilty of indecency on the second trial and sentenced to two years.
