Napier, This Day. Mr A. B. Thompson, head master of the district school, has filed his schedule. H.M.S. Eingarooma arrives this afternoon, when a public reception will be given. Her officers will be entertained at dinner by the members of the Hawke’s Bay Club to-morrow night. A man named Frederick Lynas, who has been before the court in various parts of the colony no less than 33 times, got six months for stealing a clock. He admitted the offence, for which a man named Francis Oliver had been arrested.
