1. Maiden Handicap Hurdle Race, of 20 sovs ; second horse to receive 3 sovs from the stakes; If miles ; over G flights of hurdles, Bft Gin high. Nomination 10s ; acceptance, 10s. To start at 11 a.m. 2. Handicap Hurdle Race, of 35 sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes ; 2 miles ; over 8 flights of hurdles, 3ft Gin high. The winner of any Handicap Hurdle Race of the advertised value of 20 sovs or over after declaration of weights to carry 7lb penalty. Nomination, 15s; acceptance, 20s. To start at 11.35 a.m. 3. Maiden Plate, of 30 sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs from the Stakes ; If miles ; weight for age. Entrance, 80s, on day of general entries. To start at 12.30 p.m. 4. Selling Race, of 15 sovs. The winner to be sold for 15 sovs ; 1 mile ; top weight 9st, 71b to be allowed for every £5 off selling price. Any surplus to be divided between the 2nd horse and the club. Entrance, 15s ; on day of general entries. To stare at 1.20 p.m. 5. Woodville Jockey Club Handicap, of 05 sovs ; second horse to receive 10 sovs, and third 5 sovs from the stakes ; If miles. The winner of any race of the advertised value of 40 sovs or over after the declaration of weights to carry 101 b penalty, and the wiener of any race of the advertised value of from 20 to 40 sovs after the declaration of weights to carry 71b penalty. Nomination, 80s ; acceptance, 355. To start at 2 p.m. 6. Members’ Race, of 80 sovs; second horse to received sovs from the stakes; 2 miles; welter handicap, minimum weight lOst. For district horses only that are not entered for any other race on the programme. To be owned and ridden by bona-fide members of the club. Nomination, 15s ; acceptance, 15s. To start at 2.40 p.m. 7. Flying Handicap, of 25 sovs; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes; 6 furlongs; bcale of penalties same as in Club Handicap, not accumulative. Nomination, 10s; acceptance, 15s, To start at 3.20 p.m. 8. High Weight Handicap, of 25 sovs; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes ; If miles; minimum weight, 9 stone; scale of penalties same as in olub Handicap, not accumulative. Nomination, 10s; acceptance, 15s. To start at 4 p.m.
Nominations for Maiden Handicap Hurdles, Handicap Hurdles, Woodville Jockey Club Handicap, Members Race, Flying Handicap, and High Weight Handicap, close with the Secretary, at Woodville, at 9 p.m. on Saturday, the 28th February, 1891. Weights declared on Saturday, the 14th March, 1891. Acceptances and general entries, close with the Secretary at Woodville, at 9 p.m. on Saturday, the 21st March; 1891. CONDITIONS. 1. Metropolitan Racing Rules will be strictly adhered to. 2. All races at this meeting are confined to hacks only. 3. " Hacks ” shall mean horses that have never won an advertised stake exceeding the value of 40 sovs at time of start (hack races excepted), and that are not nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St Leger or Sapling Stakes, at time of start.^ 4. District horses must be in the district on or before the Ist February, 1891, and must not be out of the district for more than one consecutive week from that date to Ist April, 1891. 6. No entry will be received for any race except on condition that all claims, disputes and objections arising out of the racing shall be settled by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. 6. No nominations will be received unless accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. 7. In all nominations, description,, age, pedigree, and performances, must; be given. ! 8. All horses to be ridden in Mis-j tingnishing colors, which must given at time of entry. 9. Five per cent will be deduct, d from all stakes, Admission: Footpassengers, Is: Horses, 2s; Vehicles of any description, 2s Gd. No horsemen allowed on the course.
