Consolation Stakes, £ ; distance, one mile and a quarter ; for all beaten horses that have run during the meeting ; sweepstakes to go to the second horse. Entrance, 10s j post entry. Single event. RULES. 1. No person allowed to run a horse, unless a subscriber of one guinea to the Race Fund. 2. All colors and ages to be given in on night of entry. 3. All subscriptions to be paid on or before 8 o'clock p.m. on the 16th March. 4. Entries to cloao on or before 10 o'clock p.m., at the Foxton Family Hotsl. 5. Settling to be rr.ade at the Manawatu Hotel, at 11 o'clock a.m., on the 18th March. I 6. The decision of the Stewards to be final. 7. Any one lodging a protest, to deposit one guinea with one of the Stewards or the Secretary before being examined, arid if the Stewards declare such objections to be frivolous, the deposit to be forfeited. 8. Three horses to start, or no race; tho bona fide property of different owners. 9. Twenty minutes will be allowed between each heat or race. 10.
