And whereas it has been notified to me, under the hand of the Cleik to the Board of Wardens for the Wellington Highway District, that the said Board did, on the third day of September, 1873, pass the following resolution, viz.: ''That the Superintendent be requested to bring into operation the 12th clause of 'The Highways Act, 1871, Amendment Act, 1873," in the Wellington Highway District." Now, therefore I, William Fitzherberl, Superintendent, do hereby proclaim and appoint that Clause 12 of "The Highways Act, 1871, Amendment Act, 1873," above recited, shall be, and be deemed to be in force within the boundaries of the said Wellington Highway District on and after Monday, the thirteenth day of October, 1873. WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the said Province of Wellington, Session 111. No. 8, intituled "An Act to amend and consolidate the law relating to Catile Trespass and Impounding," it is enacted that the Superintendent of the said Province may from time to time by proclamation declare any pound to be or cease to be a public pound within the meaning of the said Act, and may in like manner apj)oint, suspend, re move, and re-appoint keepers of such pounds. Now therefore I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby proclaim nnd declare the stockyard of Walter Allan Grant Winchcombe, erected on section No. 79, in the township of Wairoa, in the Province of Wellington aforesaid, to be a public pound within the meaning of the said Act, and that Walter Allan Grant Winchcombe be the Keeper thereof.
