She was tendered at 1 p.m. She brings 18 saloon and 20 steerage paahengers, and 325 tons of cargo for all ports. London, July 19. At the opening cross-bred wool showed a decline of one penny, but it has since improved. At the close an advance of one penny was established on the average, and for superior combings twopence to threepence. The New Zealand debentures for a loan of £200,000 were a failure, owing to the minimum being fixed at 105. Tallow ia dull. Sperm oil, £62. Petroleum, 14d. Leather, best hides, 12d to 13d. Heavy ox hides, 6|d ; light, ditto. Pig iron, £5 Bd. Copper, £10. Australian tin ore £70. Adelaide wheat 5s to 5s 2d. Estimated Calif ornian harvest 600,000 tons. Breadstuffs are firmer. The next wool sales will take place on October 2nd. New Zealand consolidated fives 104£. Victorian sixes, due April and October, 112 ; fives, January and July, 105| : New South Wales fives, 104£. The Australian Agricultural Company has declared a dividend of 8£ per cent. The Union Bank has declared a dividend of 13 per cent. The Bank of South Australia has declared a dividend of 10 per cent.
