The steamer Rangatira, Captain Hepburn, arrived in this harbor yesterday morning from Poverty Bay, Napier, and Castle Point. She left Poverty Bay on the afternoon of the 20th, arriving at Napier the following morning ; left again on the afternoon of the 23rd, but pat into Castle Point owing to a heavy southeast gale. Left again at 4 p.m. on tbe 26<ih, and arrived here at 7 yesterday morning. "On arrival at Wellington," says the Napier " Telegraph," she will be placed on the patent slip, where she will be repainted inside and out, new enshions fixed in the cabin, a new boiler, and a steam winoh fitted on board." The steamer Lyttelton arrived in Wellington harbor yesterday. The Steam Shipping Company's Ladybird, under the command of Captain Lloyd, crossed Manukau bar at 9 on the morning of tbe 23rd, arriving at Paranaki at daylight next day ; left again shortly after noon, and arrived at Nelson at daylight on the 25th ; left again, after a four hours' stay, and arrived at Picton at 11.15 same night ; left Picton shortly before 1 on Saturday morning, and made a six-hour ran across the Strait. The Ladybird had fine weather from Manukau to Nelson ; from thence south-east wind and thick weather to Wellington. The topsail schooner Maid of Otago, laden with iron, sailed for Havelock yesterday. The brigantine Enterprise sailed yesterday Sot the South. The sohooner Baby sailed for the Kaiionras yesterday. Yesterday afternoon the following coasters came into harbor: — The ketch Falcon, from Blenheim ; the ketch Eliiabeth, from the Sound; and the cutter. Patea, from Picton. Six or eight vessels are reported wind-bound ' at Port Underwood. Amongst them was the Hevereham, whioh made an offing on Friday last. The ship Wellington sailed for Newcastle yesterday afternoon. The Government paddle>steamer Luna, Captain Fairchild, left Napier on Thursday morning last, and had to seek shelter at Castle Point the following moreing from a bard south-east wind and a heavy sea. - Left again on Saturday at 2 p.m., and arrived in Wellington harbor at half-past four yesterday morning. She brought sixteen passengers.
