NOTICE is hereby given that Government Insurance and Annuities OQices, under j "The Government Annuities Act, 1869," and i " Tho New Zealand Government Insurance I and Annuities Act, 1870," have been opened at [ WELLINGTON, J WANGANUI, GREYTOWN, and all the principal Money Order Offices in the Colony. The following advantages are secured by special provisions in the above-mentoined. Acts : — 1. Up to a certain amount, Assurance Policies bona fide effected by the Assured upon his own life, and Endowment Policies, and Annuities purchased for the benefit of Wife or Children, are exempted from the operation of Bankruptcy Acts, and from seizure under legal process. 2. Up to a certain amount, Married Women may effect Policies, and dispose of the money assured by will, as if single ; and such policies are free from the debt 3 and control of their husbanda. 3. Insurances may be effected for the benefit of Wife and Children, with power to apportion amount ; and such insurance is to be free from the claim of creditors, to the extent of £2000. NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE AND ANNUITIES. nnHE Government having been empowered -I_ by special Acts of the Legislature to enter into contracts for Insurances on Lives, and for the grants of Annuities and Endowments, are now prepared to execute any of the usual gontracts dependent upon the contingencies of auman life. The following advantages are presented as deserving of Public attention, and especially of the working classes : — 1. Ail transactions and Powers of Attorney, and other documents, aro free of stamp duty and all taxation. 2. No charge is made beyond the purchase monoy or premium. 3. Surrender values are granted on the wholo or any part of a contract which, has endured for five years. 4. The tables of premiums in all the branches are considerably less than in, any other office in New Zealand. 5. Residence is permitted in any part o£ the Globe distant not more than 31 ° S., or 33 ° N. of the Equator, or in any part of tho Australian Colonies south, of the 25th parrallel of south latitude, or Great Britain, and premiums may always be paid on the due dates at the nearest Money Order Office. 6. Insurances effected for the benefit of, and settled on wife or children are free, to the exteut of £2000, from the claims of creditors. 7. The Consolidated Revenue of the Colony is liable for all claims, in the event of the receipts at nny time being insufficient to meet demands, thus affording the best security to the assured.
