The sale will take place at the Town Hall, Marton, Kanp:itikei, about the 27th FEBBUAR¥ NEXT. Maps showing the position o^ tho block in to the surrounding country, and giving a detailed plan of the sections offered for sale, will be visible at the Land Office on or after the 25th January. The block now offered for sale is the first instalment of a block of 220,000 acres purchased in the ye»r 1865 from the natives, and is situated on the south bank of the Rangitikei Eiver, having a frontage of about 10 miles, and an average depth of three miles. It is intersected by numerous streams, contains considerable patches of available bush, and is of the finest description of agricultural land. The Bangitikei District, from which the Mana*rata block is separated only by the river (fordable at all points), contains a population of 3000 souls, and has been in the possession and occupation of freehold farmers for nearly SO years, and is traversed in every direction by good metalled roads. The block offered for Bale is within 30 miles of the port of Wanganui, within five miles of the mouth of the Rangitikei River, which is accessible to small coasters, and a road is in course of formation right through the block to the harbor of tho Manuwatu River, which is accessible to vessels drawing from eight to ten feet of water.
