RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Monday, August 24. (Before J. C. Crawford, R.M.) DBUNKENNESS. Henry Love, charged witli being drunk and disorderly, was fined 10s, and ordered to pay 2s 6d, expenses of cabhire in taking him into custody. Charles Wilson, charged with drunkenness, did not appear, and his bail, 20s, was forfeited. SHIP DESEBTION. George Seymour was charged by Charles Hartvnann, master of the barque Henry Adderley, with deserting from that vessel. The complainant stated that the defendant left tho vessel on Friday night, and was found on board a small vessel on Saturday, having taken his clothes with him. His Worship did not think the charge of desertion established, but sent defendant to prison for four weeks for being absent without leave. CIVIL. Wallace v Hunt — £1 14s fer goods sold. Judgment for amount and costs.
