A Story of the Fioods in Otago. — We pre* sumo the following information was communicated to the Waikouaiti Serald by the "gentleman whose veracity is unimpeaohable," and who washed Mr Pagefc's dray. Thafc journal says : — " Certain facts havo como to light since the occurrence of the late flood which gives the disappearance of one of Mr Paget's drays a rather suspicious aspect. It appears that on tbe morning of the flood, after the waters had subsided, the missing dray was scon on the right hand side of the river, where it had been washed, by a gentleman whose veracity is unimpeachable. The following morn* ing, however, the dray was nowhere to bo found by its legitimate owner, nor has it sine© been seen or heard of.
