The case of Lawson Potts, a storekeeper at the Hutfc, was again called on for hearing. Mrlzard having stated that ho did not wish to call any further evidence for the defence, the Court fined the defendant £50 and costs. CIVIL. J. Martin v M. Quin — This was an action to recover £8 10s 2d, for compound interest on debentures of the Free Kirk. Judgment for the simplo interest, £6 Bs, was given ; further costs I being remitted. .7. Lamont v J.Thompson— £1. Neither party was in attendance when the case was called on for bearing. D. Anderson vC. M. Hickling— £l 2s. Paid into Court.
