WEST COAST GOLDFIELDS.

A cpEH^spoNijENT ,of, tne, Examiner says :— There have been many rushes from here ia various direction*; : First, the one' to the Karamea, which'has turtied out a "duffer." The Pakihi is looking up, and the diggers are perfectly satisfied with their "prospects. They are now. commencing washing out; With ' good r©Bultß/yet there has been two or three I rushes to the North Beach. : The Caledonian Lead is turning out very satisfactory ; the German Terrace is very good from all accounts, from four to five feet of wash-dirt, and the whole good payable stuff. Then comes the Welshman's Terrace; which is paying well; and again, beyond that is Dilfty'i rush, which remains to be proved, all tebd» ing towards the Karamea, but yet the lead inclines -inland. ; It will, as I stated before, strike the Upper Collingwopd, There, ia likewise a rush from the Pakihi, more inland, and at a less distance from the Bailer as the bird flies, where good payable coarse gold has been found. Some fair specimens of gold bearing quarts came into town the other day from the Wai* mangaroa ; the specimens I saw were very pretty."
