Fbiday, July 13, 1866. The Town Board met at three o'clock. The members in attendance were — George Hart, (Chairman), Meßsrs. W. Mr. Sargent, formerly in the employ of the Boaivl, request ed to know why ho wai disohurged from its service. Tho Chairman informed Mr. Sargent that tho Survovov lv.ul been instructed to amalgamate the labour gangi, and to discharge all persons whose scvvico.s were not required. Tho Surveyor said that ho had discharged Mr. Sargent because ho found a more elKcient person to appoint in his stoad. Mr. Sargent was nearsighted, and it w.w in consequence of his not being able to discharge his duty as otiieiently as ■vas desired that he had discharged him. A loiter was road from Janio3 Wallace, calling tho attention of tho Board to tho state of BoltonBtreet, and requesting that the prison gang might bo employed there to make it passable. Tho letter was received, and the Clerk instructed to write a roply. A letter was read from Win. J. Dark, calling tho attention of the Board to the state of Moore--Btreet, and requesting that it might be formed. The Clerk was instructed to write a roply, stating that no labour at present could bo spared for the formation of the street alluded to.

THE STATE OF LAMDTON QUAY. Mr. Quinn called the attention of the Board to the condition of Lambton Quay ; and tenders were directed to bo advertised for to supply 500 yards of metal, to bo spread on the Quay. The Board shortly after adjourned.
