HOKITIKA.
The West Coast Times of the 3rd inst. reports j — Business has been brisker during the past week, and the demand for almost all kinds of merchandise has increased. The imports may be reckoned next to nil, and the lengthy passage of many craft bound for this port has loft the market comparatively bare. Mov.r is very scarce j but as a large supply ia known to bo shipped, storekeepers are very cautions in their purchases, and the riao in prices is very slight. Oats and chaff are plentiful ; tea, sugar, and onions aro light ; Sinclair's bacon, scarce.
