THRIFTY POUNDS -will be pnid to any person J giving information to Mb. John Hughes, Wholesale Druggist, Melbourne, that9hnll lead to the conviction of any person or persons vending spurious imitations of Holloways' Pills & Ointment. A povfer of attorney has been sent to Mr. Hughes, bearing date 9th August, 1859. It appears that parties in Melbourne are either manufacturing Hollowny's Pills and Ointment, or importing imitations of the same from the United States; such parties, when discovered will be dealt vrith according to law, in order to protect the public. ' The Genuine Ointment and Pills have engraved on the British Government Stamp the words, " Solloway's Pills and Ointment, London," and if the little Books of directions wrapped round the medicines be held up to the light, the same words will be discovered woven in the wnter-mark of the paper. None are genuine without these marks, and without the Government Stamp.
