The I. C!. R. M". Company's steamer' Airedale^ Captain Johns, from Ly Helton, arrived in this harbour on Monday morning last, at 6 a.m. She left Otago on Thursday tUe 12th inst., at 9 a.m., arrived nt Lyttelton on Friday afternoon, sailed from thence for Wellington on Saturday, at 6 p.m., aud arrived here us above, . She experienced very thick foggy wer.ther from Otago to Lyttelton, nnd a. strong gale from N. (o N.W. between Lyttelton and this port. She was fortunate wifli her shipment of cattle and horses" from this place to Otago, having landed 47 out of 55 hend of cattle that were placed on board, md 7 horses, besides' three that were shipped at Lyttcltoa. She sailed again yesterday evening, for Nelson, New Plymouth aud Manakau.

The steamer Wonga W O nga t Captain Rentier, returned yesterday morning from Ahuriri. She sailed from Wellington on Tuesday, the 10th inst., at 8 p.m., called at Castle Point on Thursday morn r ing, at 4 a.m., landed two passengers and proceeded on to Napier, where she -arrived on Friday morning. Remained there until Saturday, discharged her. ic« waul cargo, took on board 84 bales of wool, and started at 2 p.m. for this port. Called at Castle Point on Sunday morning, at 8 a.m., landed cargo and took on board two passengers. She then proceeded on her voyage, called at White Hock on Sunday evening,-larided' cargo, and sailed again nt 8 p. m., for Wellington, where she arrived at 9, o'clock on Monday morning. She experienced very boisterous weather after leaving this pert, and felt the full force of the gale on Sun'lay night last. Sighted the White Swan, at about 0 a.m., on Sunday morning, off Castle Point.
