The Lord Ashley arrived at sis o'clock this ttofnlng from Sydney via Auckland, Manakau, New Plymouth and Ne'lsW. SKe left Sydney on the 10th ult., the Same day as '.he Prince Alfred, experienced strong i.ea'd winds' the whole passage, and arrived at Auckland on tho 19th September. Remained there Until the 24ih, and sailed fdr Alanakritf. and had an extraordinary quick paeengo of forty.eight hours. Left Manakatfon the morning of tho 29th ult, and arrived at New Plymouth tho samo evening; remained there all nieln ; but hod to leave in consequence of bad weather; arrived at Nelson on the Ist October,- nnd sailed from tuoiioe for Wellington yesterday afternoon. The Tornado had arrived at Av6Ttland, and about fifty of her passongcre have been brought on here by the Lord Ashley. Captain Kennedy is now in command of the Lord Ashley, and we wish him success.
