Extracts ~from despatches showing the opinion of tlio Law Adrisers of the •Crown in (alluded to in tho 2nd paragraph*.of Efrl Grey's despatch of the Bth August "1831 , ,) as to the Terms of Purchase in force in the Company's ' Settlements at the time of the surrender ■of its Charter, and consequently established by tho recent Act of the 14th and :15th Victoria, c 86. 2. v'Extrdcts from enclosures to Mr. Hawcs' letters to Mr.'Attorney General, and to : Mr. Solicitor-General, of .the. 19th of August 1850—and of "ikeir reply to Earl Grey. i-Earl Grey is desirous of obtaining advice on the following points:— Ist.
