The schooner Kate was laid oa for Auckland, to sail on the Ist January. The ship Janet, 334 tons, was also laid on for the same port, to sail on the Gth January. The schooner Providence for the Bay of Islands and Auckland, to sail on the 26th December, The brig Guide was to sail for Taranaki and Port Nicholson in a few days. The brigantine Star of China was to sail for Port Nicholson via Taranaki on the lst'January. She had the whole of her cargo engaged, and was advestising for passengers only. The barque Isabella Anna. 300 tons, wa* laid on for Tahiti, calling at Auckland, New Zealand, to sail on the 26th December.

The schooner Anita was sold by auction in Sydney, and realized ,£1385. The schooner Comet wa3 advertised for freight or charter.

There is an advertisement in the Sydney Herald of December 24, for tenders for the conveyance from thence to New Zealand, of a detachment of the Royal Artillery, consisting of two officers, 29 rank and'file, with 70 tons of stores: also, -40 working bullocks, and 25 horses or mules- To sail the beginning of January.

H.M. S. Calliope, -26 guns, Captain Stanley, sailed from London on the 17th. August, for New Zealand.

Two vessels are advertised to carry troops from Launceston to New Zealand.
