This i≤ the first month in the season in which seeds can be sown out of doors with any prospect of their vegetating. Experience teacbei that in New Zealand, seeds should only be lighlv covered with earth, otherwise in numet • ous instances they will be found to rot in the ground. Flower Garden.— Prepare ground for seed to be sown next month. Kitchen Garden.— Sow cabbages, carrots, parr snips, onions, leeks, broad beans, pot h.<Hos,and shrub trees. Field.— Keep the weeds under by preparing: ground; plant English or Native toreet trees; sow spring barley, but on fine soil.
