Business Efficiency
A page teleprinter has been insialled% in the offices of the Ford Motor Company of New Zealand, Limited, Seaview Road, on the route to Eastbourne (Wellington). The first industrial concern in New Zealand to Use this equipment, the company hopes by this means to eliminate delays in telephoning telegrams and keep the telephone lines free. Another important factor is the ©liminiation of the possibility of error in the spoken word when telephoning telegrams. The company has a very heavy telegraph traffic, both inward and outward, and uses many numerals and technical terms in its messages, which could lead to mutilation of the text.
