Recommendations to Council
That; a gang of men be placed in Speak’s quarry for the purpose of breaking out and spalling stone; that the council support the Hauraki Catchment Board in its endeavour to procure the revocation of the proclamation declaring the Oliinemuri and Waihou Rivers to be sludge channels; and that the placing of a street light at Albert and Queen Streets, in the vicinity of the State houses, be approved, were among the recommendations of the Works and Finance Committee adopted by the Waihi Borough Council at its monthly meeting on Monday evening,
