A Speedy Two-year-old Sea Spi, who had a runaway win in the Wellington Stakes, is now in the position of leading stake winning two-year-old of the season. She was bred at Feilding by Mr R. J. Harper and Miss E. D. Cornfoot, and was purchased at the 1942 National Sales for 115 guineas. As she lias now won £1540 in stakes she ranks as a real sale ring bargain.
A Promising Juvenile Week by week the two-year-old Yorkish owned by Messrs J. and P. Brenan, of Paeroa, has been settling down to his work at Takanini, and will soon be able to show his galloping capability in public. Pop Of The List So far this season W. J. Broughton is top of the jockey’s winning list with 24 wins.
