SI. John Ambulance A meeting' of both divisions of the Waihi brigade of the St. John Ambulance Society will be held in the Methodist flail at 7.J0 p.m. on Thursday next. Prisoners of War Association A meeting of the Waihi Prisoners of War Friends and Relatives’ Association was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Friday, the vice-pre-sident, Mrs N. Rosborough. presiding. Proceedings opened with the prayer for peace, those pivsent then standing in silence as :• mark o! condolence with Mrs Gardiner in the loss of her son who was recently reported killed in action, ft was stated that the garden party held at Mrs Nickisson’s farm had realised the sum of £l(> 10s Mrs R. E. Mathers arranged the schedule for the flower show to he held in conjunction with the Order of St. John at the end of this month, Mesdames Atkin, Cullen and Nickis>on offering to donate points prizes. Apologies for absence from the meeting were received from the Rev. Father C. von Rotter and Mesdames S. Carter, Cornthwaite, McDowell and W. M. Wallnutt.
