RAILWAY DEPARTMENT SITTING HELD IN PAEROA ARMED FORCES APPEAL BOARD Some 160 appeals by the New Zealand Railway Department were dealt with by the No. 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board at a sitting held in the Courthouse, Paeroa, on Tuesday, the chairman, Mr Edwin Edwards, presiding. Associated with him were Messrs E. J. Wilton, J. J. Poland and the secretary, Mr A. Ripley. In the majority of eases the appeals were adjourned sine die on condition that reservist remains in his

The appeals for A. L. Foster. A. G. Harris. F. Haor and J. S. Geat'd were adjourned sine tile, reservists to remain in their present occupation and continue to servo in the Home Guard. Decision was reserved in the xippeal for L. A. Kelly. The appeal for M. J. King was withdrawn by consent of the board. In the appeal for D. R. Lever, adjournment until May Ml. 1943, was granted, reservist to remain in his present employment and to continue to serve in the Railway section of the E.P.S.
