When the feet of your stockings are beyond repair but the legs ore still good, cut off the feet above the ankle and replace with a pair of cashmere sports socks of the same shade. If silk stockings, run a row of machining round the cut edge to prevent laddering. Make the join under the turn-over tops of the socks which appear to be worn over the stockings for winter comfort.
