ENQUIRIES HELD

OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB SPRING MEETING AT PAEROA Enquiries held at the Spring Meeting of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club held in iPaeroa on Saturday were as under: — In the Taumarunui Stakes the Judicial Committee enquired into the interference suffered by Yes Tor in the straight by Hot Pursuit. This enquiry was held at thd instance of the Stipendiary Steward, No action was taken. A complaint was lodged by Mr J. Irwin, the owner of Hogarth, against the starter for the way in which he started Hogarth in the Pipiroa Hack Handicap. The Judicial Committee after hearing the evidence came to the conclusion that the evidence did not support the complaint. The committee decided to take no action in the matter but ordered that the deposit of £2 lodged by Mr Irwin with the complaint be refunded. In the Maramarua Steeplechase the Judicial Committee decided that as Gold Spot had not completed the course the third place go to Red Falcon. The rider of Red Falcon for taking the wrong course was fined £2.
