Friends of Mrs J. Paterson and Miss Marjorie Paterson, for many years residents of Waihi, who leave soon for Rotorua, where Miss Paterson. who is well known in district teaching circles, goes on transfer from the W’aihi South School as infant mistress, entertained them hist I evening to a' bridge party. On behalf of those present Miss Isobel Boxall presented the guests of honour with initialled silver serviette rings and wished them well in tlicir future home. After thirty—two years’ service with the Bank' of New Zealand and sixteen years as teller at Waihi, Mr Francis Ray has retired on superannuation. He is succeeded by Mr F. L. Francis, of the bank’s Wellington staff. I
