RIFLE SHOOTING

USUAL WEEKLY COMPETITION HELD WIN FOR D. SEATII

Members of the Waihi Defence Ride Club held their usual weekly competition on Saturday over the 500 and 600 yards ranges. A trophy donated by Mr J. Mitchell was won by Rifleman D. Seath with 95 points, the runner-up being Rifleman J. Coleman with 93 points. The silver rooster was again won by D. Seath with the highest aggregate over all ranges. The scores are as follows: Rifleman D. Seath 95, J. Coleman 93, J. Cornes 91, A. Wotherspoon 89, E. Trembath 89, W. Wotherspoon S 5, T. Cornes 76, E. Swindells 70. The shooting next Saturday will be over the 200 and 300 yards distances.
