Large fields, embracing the majority of the leading hurdle and crosscountry performers in the Dominion and many well-known flat racers, point to a highly successful opening of the Auckland Racing Club's winter meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday next, together with the provision of first-class sport for patrons.
