MARTHA COMPANY’S PROGRESS REPORT RECENT DEVELOPMENTS ’ The following information bearing on mine development work lias been cabled to the London office of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Ltd.:
No. 2 Level—Driving west on the Bell reef the next 37 feet assays 12s Gd per ton. Tlie width of the lode is about 3 feet.
No. G Level—At 510 feet west of No. 2 shaft north-west crosscut a crosscut was commenced south and intersected the north branch of the Martha lode at 3 9 feet in. The width is 1 foot of good grade. The course of the lode is 60 deg. (true), vertical. Driving east and west has been commenced on its course.
No. S Level—Edward lode: In the crosscut situated at 550 feet south of No. 2 shaft and at 41 feet in we have intersected a vein 11 feet wide assaying 7s 9d per ton.
Junction No. 7 Level—Driving west on the Ulster lode and commencing from the Ulster winze, the next S 3 feet assays 20s per ton. The width of the lode is about 3 feet. Tbe next 34 feet assays 5s 9d per ton, the width of the lode being about 2 feet.
