WAIHI DEFENCE CLUB’S WEEKLY MATCHES WIN FOR, P. SEATH Members of the Waihi Defence Rifle Club held their weekly match on Saturday afternoon, when the firing was over the 500 and 700 yards ranges (10 shots at each distance), but owing to the strong westerly wind the scores registered were on the low side, the winner being Rifleman P. Seath with 82 points. Appended are the scores: Riflemen P. Seath, 43 at 500 yards and 30 , at 700 yards (handicap 9), total 82; P. Finnell, 42 and 37 (2), 81; W. Feather, 46 and 35 (scratch), 81; J. Munro, 42 and 35 (3), 80; President E. I’rembath, 43 and 32 (4), 79; Vice-President E, Swindells, 40 and 26 (8), 74; Rifleman J. Wotherspoon, 37 and 29 (7), 73; J. G. Comes, 41 and 28 (scratch), 69; J. G. Coleman, 30 and 26 (8), 64; G. Earl, 28 and 22 (10), 58. The shooting on Saturday next will be at 200 yards.
