JARVIS ATTACKS CRUMP'S 100 YARDS RECORD A GOOD PERFORMANCE By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, This Day. W. J. Jarvis made an attack on Noel Crump's New Zealand swimming record of 55 1-5 sees for 100 yards last night and although unsuccessful his time, 56 1-5 sees, is the fastest ever done in the Dominion in fresh water. Chump's record was established in the salt water baths at Auckland.

The Otago swimming centre has decided to renew its representations for the inclusion of Jarvis in the Dominion team for the Empire games, and is prepared to undertake to find the necessary funds in Dunedin.
